Hon. Benson Ayodele Presents Imota LCDA Development Master Plan To APC Divisional Leaders

Hon. Benson Sunday, Chairman Imota LCDA presenting the Imota LCDA Development Master Plan (2025–2035) to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting held at Prince Abiodun Ogunleye’s house in Ikorodu.

The Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele(BSA), on Friday, formally presented the Imota LCDA Development Master Plan (2025–2035) to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Ikorodu Divisional level of the party, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to structured, inclusive, and sustainable development across the council area.

The presentation took place during a strategic meeting with APC Divisional Party Leaders in Ikorodu Division, led by the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and Apex Leader in Ikorodu Division, His Excellency, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye.

The meeting brought together party leaders and key stakeholders from across the division.

While presenting the document, Hon. BSA outlined the long-term vision of his administration and emphasised the importance of collective ownership of the development agenda. He noted that the 10-year Development Master Plan serves as a comprehensive roadmap for infrastructural growth, effective social service delivery, and economic expansion, positioning Imota LCDA as one of the leading local council areas in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

According to the Council Chairman, the Master Plan was meticulously designed to address critical sectors including road infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, environmental management, and digital innovation. He explained that the plan aligns with both state and national development frameworks while prioritising grassroots realities and the unique needs of Imota LCDA residents.

“This 10-year Development Master Plan is not just a document, but a blueprint for sustainable growth, modern infrastructure, and improved quality of life for our people. It is fully aligned with the visionary leadership of the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, whose unwavering commitment to sustainable development continues to chart a progressive course for our dear state,” He stated.

Hon. Benson further stressed that effective governance thrives on synergy between political leadership and party structures. He explained that the engagement with APC leaders at the divisional level was aimed at fostering unity, transparency, and accountability. He called on party stakeholders to support the implementation of the Imota LCDA Development Master Plan and to serve as ambassadors of the administration’s vision within their respective wards and communities.

Highlighting key ongoing and proposed projects, Hon. BSA assured party leaders that the Master Plan would guarantee continuity, proper coordination, and efficient utilisation of resources. He reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to people-oriented policies that will translate into measurable improvements in the standard of living of residents.

In his response, the APC Apex Divisional Leader, His Excellency, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, commended Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele for his proactive and consultative approach to governance. He described the Imota LCDA Development Master Plan as timely and commendable, noting that it reflects strategic thinking and a genuine desire to leave a lasting legacy of development in Imota LCDA.

Other party leaders present at the meeting also pledged their unwavering support for the Benson-led administration, assuring him of their readiness to mobilise party members and the wider community toward the successful implementation of the outlined development initiatives.

The presentation of the Imota LCDA Development Master Plan marks another significant milestone in Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele’s administration, reinforcing his focus on planned development, political inclusiveness, and sustainable growth, as Imota LCDA continues its journey toward becoming a model of grassroots governance within Ikorodu Division.
